  • What is financial coaching and how does it differ from other financial services?
Financial coaching is a one-on-one relationship between a coach and a client that focuses on helping the client achieve their financial goals. Unlike other financial services, financial coaching is more focused on behaviour change, accountability, and education rather than just providing advice. So I will teach you how to fish rather than just catch a fish for you! Coaching will teach you the skills to manage your finances effectively and achieve long-term financial stability.
  • How can financial coaching help me achieve my financial goals?
Financial coaching can help you achieve your financial goals by providing accountability, education, and support as you work towards your goals. Your coach can help you develop a personalised plan and provide guidance along the way to help you stay on track. Your coach can also help you with the emotional side of finances which is often overlooked.
  • What is your coaching philosophy?
My coaching philosophy is built on six key benefits and principles. Empowerment - I truly believe that everyone has the ability to take control of their financial situation and achieve their goals. My role as a financial coach is to help clients tap into their existing strengths, identify areas for growth and provide them with the guidance and support they need to succeed. Holistic Approach: I take a holistic approach to financial coaching that considers both the practical and emotional aspects of money. The emotional side of money is often forgotten about, but it’s essential to recognize how our feelings and beliefs about money can impact our financial decisions. By exploring and understanding our emotional relationship with money, we can develop healthier attitudes and habits that lead to more fulfilling financial outcomes. Education: I believe that financial education is essential for clients' long-term success. That's why I prioritize educating my clients on key financial principles and strategies, so they have the knowledge and skills to make informed decisions and take control of their financial future. Accountability: Accountability is key to achieving financial goals. As a coach, I hold my clients accountable to their commitments and help them stay on track to reach their goals. Non-judgmental: Creating a safe and supportive space for clients to discuss their financial situation without fear of judgment or shame. We all made mistakes in the past, it's what we do in the future that matters now. Long-term focus: Prioritizing long-term financial success over short-term gains or quick fixes. Each client is different and has different goals, but I want to help create the path to long-term financial health that is sustainable for clients. Overall, my coaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves to have a healthy and fulfilling relationship with money. With the right guidance and support, I believe that anyone can achieve their financial goals and build a brighter, happier future.
  • How long does a typical coaching engagement last?
The length of time coaching takes can vary depending on each individual client's needs and goals. However, most coaching engagements typically last between 3 and 12 months. Once you have met your coach for your free consultation, they will give you an idea of the number of sessions you will likely need to achieve your goals.
  • Can I work with you online or do I need to be in person?
Coaching can be held digitally over Zoom or in person, whatever you prefer.
  • Can you help me create a budget and track my spending?
This is usually the first step in the coaching relationship. I will give you the systems to create your budget and help you find a system that works for you. We will work on how best to track your spending and why this is important. Working on a budget and getting it right can take around 3 months. That's right, 3 months! It takes a while to get into the swing of working on a budget and tracking your spending, but you need to know where the pennies are going or you will certainly misplace the pounds!
  • What kind of results can I expect from working with a financial coach?

Those who want to elevate their financial position and improve their overall financial health. People who feel trapped in high-paying jobs that do not align with their personal and professional goals, but are unsure about how to transition to a more fulfilling career path.
  • How often will we meet during our coaching engagement?
This will depend on the coaching package you decide to go with but it would be recommended to be between every 2-4 months. Your coach needs to give you time to put into practice the methods that you discuss during your sessions. However, if you feel like you need to meet with your coach at an early time than this, there is no harm in doing so. The aim of a Financial Coaching service is to help people, so if you need to see your coach every month at the start, then that's what we will do. This is to help you, so we will do whatever works best for you.

  • How do you approach working with clients with different income levels or financial situations?
When working with clients who have varying income levels or financial situations, my approach is always to start with a thorough understanding of their individual circumstances, needs, and goals. This includes gathering information about their income, expenses, assets, and liabilities, as well as any other relevant financial details. From there, I work with each client to develop a personalized financial plan that takes into account their unique situation and goals. This plan may involve different strategies or techniques depending on the client's income level or financial situation. Regardless of income level, my coaching approach is centered on building a strong foundation of financial literacy and empowering clients to take control of their finances. I believe that everyone has the potential to achieve their financial goals, regardless of their current financial situation, and my role as a coach is to provide the guidance and support needed to make that a reality for clients.
  • I make a good living, why would I need coaching?
Making a good living is certainly a great accomplishment, and it's something to be proud of. However, regardless of income level, everyone can benefit from financial coaching. Here are some reasons why: Identify and achieve financial goals: Financial coaching can help you clarify your financial goals and create a plan to achieve them. Even if you're making a good living, you may still have financial goals that you want to achieve, such as saving for retirement, retiring early or buying a home. A financial coach can help you create a plan to achieve those goals faster and more efficiently. Building wealth: Even if you're making a good living, you may not be building wealth as effectively as you could be. A financial coach can help you identify opportunities to invest and grow your wealth, and provide guidance on the most effective investment strategies * based on your goals, risk tolerance, and timeline. Managing debt: Even if you're making a good living, you may still be struggling with debt. A financial coach can help you create a plan to pay off your debt faster and more efficiently, which can free up more money for saving and investing. Developing healthy financial habits: Financial coaching can help you develop healthy financial habits that will benefit you for the rest of your life. These habits can include creating and sticking to a budget, reducing unnecessary expenses, and developing a healthy relationship with money. These habits can be passed down to your children and give them a great financial future from the start of their adult lives. Help build income streams: What would happen if you were to lose your job tomorrow? How long would you be able to sustain your current lifestyle? It is a good idea to pursue multiple income streams independent from each other. So if the worst happens to one of them, you have the others to continue bringing you in an income. So is there a side hustle or project you have always wanted to start but didn't know how? Your coach can help you with the planning behind this! In summary, financial coaching can help you achieve your financial goals, build wealth, manage debt, and develop healthy financial habits, regardless of your income level. *To clarify, while a financial coach can provide guidance on investment strategies, they do not provide specific investment recommendations or sell financial products.
  • What is your approach to handling financial setbacks or unexpected expenses?
During our coaching I will teach clients what an emergency fund is and the importance of having one for your financial and emotional peace of mind. Setbacks will happen, and we will get knocked down, but it's how we prepare and how we respond to these things that will have the biggest positive impact.
  • What happens after we have finished coaching?
From our time together you will have gained the skills, knowledge and confidence to manage your own finances. You will have a plan in place to be working towards your goals, whatever they may be. We do offer a coaching check-in service for our clients who have completed the coaching process. This service is a chance to meet with your coach again to provide you with that accountability partner and to ensure you are still on track to achieve your goals. Your coach can review how things are going and point out any areas that require more of your focus.
